When you check someone into a class and no label or parent tag prints out, the first thing you want to check is the label preferences for the group.
- Sign in as Administrator or Director
- Expand the Groups menu and select Search
- Double click on the Group that you are checking someone into
- Click on the Preferences tab
- Make sure that the number of labels is set to 1 or greater
If the label preferences are set up correctly, the next thing to check is whether or not the printer is functioning properly. The easiest way to do that is to go into the Label Software that was installed with the printer, and print off a test label. Or you can go into the Check-In screen and select Admin>Print Test Label.
If nothing prints with the test label, you'll need to check the print queue for the printer. If nothing is in the queue something is amiss getting the print job from the software to the printer. Check all your cables.
If there are print jobs in the queue, with a message saying Error Printing, you may need to run a firmware fix, or there may be another problem with the printer. In this case, please contact us or Dymo support for help in diagnosing this problem.
